Brunch at The Oakwood, Vancouver
Wednesday, September 26, 2012

The Oakwood is a Canadian Bistro located at a 10 minute walk from Kits Beach. For brunch (click for menu), all their plates are priced at $11 (except the burger) and they come in generous portions. They even use local organic range-free chickens and eggs. You’ll find all your typical brunch fare here like french toast and eggs benedict.

Overall, the food is good and well-prepared. There’s nothing fancy about it but you’ll be sure to leave on a very full stomach.

The lumberjack ($11)

Corned beef hash ($11), it’s the never-ending bowl of corned beef, sauerkraut and potatoes. After barely making a dent in this bowl, I was already full.

Albacore tuna benedict ($11) on a corned muffin.

The glorious oakwood burger ($15)

A really good burger. My only complaint was that there wasn’t enough buttermilk fried onions.
